PROGRAM po dnevih:
PRVI DAN

DRUGI DAN
– Spoznavanje in druženje (po želji; uro pred začetkom)
– Obrezovanje za fiziološko funkcionalnost in rehabilitacijo: Primeri obrezovanja kopit v različnih situacijah, uporaba čevljev za kopita in podlog, diskusija o stimulaciji gibanja in pripravi primernih tal v naši okolici
– Vpliv kovanja na kopito in konja
– Prehrana in prehranski dodatki: Kdaj in zakaj polagati prehranske dodatke, testiranje hrane in/ali konja. Diskusija o PREHRANI za konjevo zdravje.
– Konjevo zobovje in oskrba le-tega: Diskusija.
– Povezava med kopiti in zobmi in uravnoteženostjo konjevega telesa.
– Anatomija in fiziologija zob in lobanje, kako ostanejo v ravnovesju in zakaj kot posledica udomačitve niso več v ravnovesju.
– Uporaba brzd. Težave z opremo
– Več primerov zdravih kopit in kako do njih v različnih situacijah.

TRETJI DAN
– Spoznavanje in druženje (po želji; uro pred začetkom)
– Obrezovanje in sekcija patološkega kopita z diskusijo in primerjava z zdravim iz prvega dneva

DELO S KONJI:

– Demonstracija komunikacije s konjem,
– komunikacija za delo s kopiti,
– obrezovanje,
– mišično skeletno delo,
– ocene konja,
– ocene gibanja, telesne kondicije, odnosa, odziva na vodenje,
– obnova pridobljenega znanja pri delu S konjem.
– Pregled zob in brušenje zob
– Vprašanja in odgovori, diskusija
– Zaključek

Tečaj bo potekal od petka 20. Do nedelje 22.4. v Ljubljani.
Cena dvodnevnega seminarja (petek, sobota) je 280€, cena celotnega tridnevnega seminarja je 360€.

We’re happy to announce a three day clinic by Dr. Tomas Teskey Tomas G. Teskey Veterinary Insights in Slovenia.
He will talk about hoof, horse and teeth care and health. Dr. Teskey is a world – renowned expert for holistic horse health and an excellent teacher from Arizona, USA and the author of numerous articles on these subjects.

We’ll learn about anatomy and physiology of horse’s hoof and lower limb, learn to tell the difference between a healthy and diseased hoof, discuss some hoof trimming methods, talk about nutrition and environment, hoof – teeth – and body balance; we’ll get to learn about scull and teeth anatomy and function and see all of the above in practice.

Program by days:
DAY 1
– Meet and greet (optional; an hour before start)
– Philosophy: Debate on developing a partnership with horses rather than ownership, allowing both horses and humans to shine with their best intentions and abilities
– Anatomy/physiology: »Parts and pieces« of the hooves and the horses and how these parts function to allow horses to be who they are
– Normal and diseased hooves: Recognizing deformity and problems of movement
– Self-trimming hooves/feral hooves as source of information: Horses and their hooves that have never been trimmed. »The healthiest horses are the ones that move enough to trim their own feet, regardless of their job or situation«
– Pathology: Discussing and examples of the two major issues we see, hoof contraction (which mostly shows up as weakened heels), and laminitis; what is causing these problems and why
– Hoof dissection: Demonstration with some general trimming techniques and the dissection and re-visit of any of the things from morning session. Questions and answers

– More examples of sound hooves and how to achieve them in different situations. Recognizing the DIFFERENCES in good and bad hooves

– Developing a CHECKLIST FOR SUCCESS: Discussion on what attendees can do for their own horses in their environments. When someone is having some trouble, they can go back to this list and find out what they need to do to have a healthier and a happier horse. The checklist include hoof care, dental care, nutrition, developing your TEAM of people to help you develop the best situation for the horses, personal responsibility again, movement, habitat, horse psychology (herd dynamics), horses with a “job”, consistency
